Strange stuff in the French camp,
Richard had definitely one of his finest seasons. He won 3 titles (Doha, Montpellier and Moscow), he reached the semifinal at the US Open, he broke in the top10, and he qualified for the World Tour Finals.
Apparently this feat didn’t impress his coach Riccardo Piatti that was a key factor for these results or probably there was something else.
By the way just before playing againt Djokovic in London, Richard had the news from the coach that he ended their partnership without further notice.
Richard will keep on training with his part-time coach Sebastien Grosjean until he finds a new coach.
Weird stuff indeed.
