For s few months, Naomi Osaka was followed all over the world by Netflix cameramen to get some significant pictures and videos of her daily life. The overall idea was to put together a docuseries that would have been launched right before the Olympic Games.
Netflix just dropped the first trailer that is “An intimate look inside the life of one of the most gifted and complex athletes of her generation offers insight into the tough decisions and ecstatic triumphs that shape Naomi Osaka as both an elite global superstar and a young woman navigating a pressure-filled world.”
The mental health issues and dealing with pressure
Naomi Osaka hit the news all over the world when she decided to retire from the French Open because she was struggling to deal with the pressure. Eventually, Naomi also pulled out from Wimbledon. Fortunately, she confirmed that she would take part in the Olympic Games that will be staged in Tokyo in a few weeks.
In the trailer, Naomi says, “I think the amount of attention that I get is kind of ridiculous. No one prepares you for that. I don’t know I feel like I’m struggling.”
Do not miss the trailer (and probably the documentary).
