Felix Auger Aliassime will play a rather special quarter-final in Wimbledon. The upcoming Canadian will be opposed to his dear friend Matteo Berrettini. Felix and Matteo have a great relationship that is also cemented by the fact that their girlfriends are cousins.
Matteo is dating Ajla Tomljanovic (also in the Wimbledon quarterfinal) while Felix has been dating for long Nina Ghaibi. Felix and Matteo are used to spending a lot of time together also in Monte Carlo where they have the residence.
During the press conference that followed his victorious match against the Sascha Zverev, Felix commented:
“Both our girlfriends are cousins, so it just happens that we spend a lot of time together.
“He’s one of my best friends on the tour. He’s really a great guy, a great person. I get along really well with him. Since we’re in the bubble, we have dinners together sometimes. We watch the game together.
Yeah, I’m happy to call him a good friend. I think it’s good to get to play each other. We both have had a great tournament so far. We’ll try to leave it all out there, and it’s going to be good.”
