Cameron Norrie was born in Johannesburg, South Africa, on 23 August 1995 to a Welsh mother, Helen, and a Scottish father, David both microbiologists. He and his family moved to Auckland (New Zealand) after a burglary when he was just 3. He moved to London when he was 16, but then he went to Texas to attend the university in Texas.
Initially, Cameron was playing for New Zealand (2010-2013), but then he decided to play for the UK since he had no support from his country.
James Trotman and Facundo Lugones currently coach Cameron since 2017.

Now the world no.34 (career-high), Cameron has managed to achieve a compiled 35-13 win-loss record in 2021. Norrie is participating in Wimbledon where he beat Lucas Pouille 6-76 7-5 6-2 7-5 and Alex Bolt 6-3 6-1 6-2.
Cameron Norrie will fight against the world no.8 Roger Federer in the 3rd round on Saturday at 3:30 pm on Court Centre Court 2. They have never competed against each other so far in top competitions.
The Brit was the finalist in Estoril (Millennium Estoril Open), in Lyon (Open Parc) and in London (cinch Championships).
