
There is great news for the tennis fans as Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic are on the list of the players that are going to compete at the upcoming Olympics in Tokyo.
Curiously, Federer and Djokovic have never managed to win the gold medal in singles at the Olympics. Roger Federer won the gold when he played doubles in 2008, playing with Stan Wawrinka at the Olympic Games staged in Beijing.
As of now, it is not clear if Roger Federer and will also played mixed doubles with Belinda Bencic. They won together the Hopman Cup on a couple of occasions and they would be the strongest team in this competition.

Currently ranked no.8, Roger has achieved an overall 6-3 match record in 2021. Federer is currently having a run in Wimbledon where he conquered Adrian Mannarino 6-4 6-73 3-6 6-2 0-0 ret..
Roger Federer will square off with the world no.56 Richard Gasquet in the 2nd round on Thursday at 5:30 pm on Centre Court. Their actual record is 18-2 for Federer.

Djokovic in Wimbledon, ranking, and results in 2021
Now the world no.1, Djokovic has an overall 29-3 win-loss record in 2021. Djokovic is now competing in Wimbledon where he defeated Jack Draper 4-6 6-1 6-2 6-2 and Kevin Anderson 6-3 6-3 6-3.
Novak Djokovic will compete against the world no.114 Denis Kudla in the 3rd round. The head to head is 2-0 for Djokovic.
Novak conquered 3 titles in 2021 at the Australian Open, in Belgrade and at the French Open. The Serbian got to the final in Rome (Internazionali BNL d’Italia).
