About Serena Willams’ injury
This year, the conditions in Wimbledon are rather slippery and many players fell down multiple times. Unfortunately, there have been a couple of nasty falls that cost the tournament to Adrian Mannarino and Serena Williams. Kyrgios also fell during his match, but fortunately, there were no consequences for him.
Nick Kyrgios commented:
“Obviously it’s devastating to see some big names go out due to an injury like slipping on the court. Mannarino was putting on a great match against Federer. Obviously seeing Serena, the legend, go down, it’s not easy. I’m very lucky it wasn’t nothing too severe.”
Nick Kyrgios will come up against the world no.77 Gianluca Mager in the 2nd round on Thursday at 6:00 pm on Court 3. In the past, they have never played each other as of now in top competitions.
