Caroline Wozniacki wins the title in Luxembourg

It’s definitely a good moment “tennis-wise” for Caroline Wozniacki.

The former no.1 seems to struggle more against the nasty rumours about her split with Rory McIlroy than on the court.

Caroline had a spotless tournament to drop only 1 set (quarters vs Jovanovski).Probably the key match was the semifinal against Wimbledon runner up Sabine Lisicki as the final was a one way traffic match.

It took only 74 minutes for Caroline to beat world no. 57 Annika Beck. Wozniacki’s problems ended in the 3rd game of the opening game when she was 1-2 down. From that moment Caroline won 6 consecutive games to lead 6-2 1-0. Then after a couple of breaks exchange the former world no,.1 cruised to a comfortable 6-2 6-2 victory. Match Stats.

From Caroline

This is Wozniacki’s 21st career title and she is right to be happy about that “21st title, it’s great.  I’m still young [23], I have a few more years to go, so to be at 21 already is just great. This is what you practice for.”
