Dimitrov to clash with Ferrer in Stockholm for his maiden title!

Dimitrov – Paire 4-6 6-2 6-2

Grigor played a solid game against an erratic Benoit Paire. The only problem the Bulgarian had to face was a false start as he dropped his service in the very first game to lose the opening set 6-4. Then it was just about Dimitrov with the Bulgarian breaking Paire twice in both the second and the third set. Match Stats

After the match Grigor commented “I’m happy I stayed really focused throughout the match and even though it went three sets I was still believing in my game.

Ferrer – Gulbis 3-6 6-4 6-1

David had to tame an always dangerous Ernest Gulbis. After dropping his service in the 5th game of the opener, Gulbis had a good reaction to then double break David twice and win the first set 6-3. Then the world no.3 regrouped to win the second set and to cruise in the decider with the Latvian in complete game over.  Match Stats.

David was rather satisfied by his performance “I played my best match this week. It was a very tough match. I needed my game to be solid and not make many mistakes. I ran and fought a lot. In the important moments I played better.”

Head to head Ferrer – Dimitrov

H2H is 3-0 for Ferrer that still seems too solid for Dimitrov unless Girgor’s tennis really steps up!.
