There is very bad news from Dominic Thiem’s camp after the Austrian had to withdraw when playing the second round in Mallorca against Adrian Mannarino.
Seeded number two, Dominic was leading 5-2 in the first set against the Frenchman. Then, the world no.5 hit an ordinary forehand to get injured to his wrist. Thiem immediately understood the entity of the problem so as to retire from the match.
There are obvious doubts about his participation at the upcoming Wimbledon. A formal statement is expected.

Currently the world no.5, Dominic played his last match on the 22nd of June when he had to retire when playing against world no.42 Adrian Mannarino in the 2nd round and the scoreline was 2-5 .
Until now, during this year the Austrian has a compiled 9-9 record. Dominic Thiem’s best result of this year was reaching the semifinal in Madrid.
