Stefanos Tsitsipas has an incredibly close relationship with his father Apostolos. Stefanos and his dad have been touring together all over the world since the world number 4 was 12. Stefanos disclosed that Apostolos once saved his life when he was drowning.

During a recent interview, Apostolos Tsitsipas admitted that he has learned so much by spending time and traveling with Stefanos.

During a recent interview, Apostolos commented:

“With Stefanos, even though I studied so much, I just feel that I know very few things. You always need to be open-minded and ready to learn. Stefanos gave me such a chance to learn. I think he was the best university for me.”

Once Stefanos also admitted that it has been great being with his father for so much time.

“It’s a big honor to have him next to me by my side. I love him. He loves me. We have been together since the age of 12, traveling together. I appreciate that,” said Stefanos.

Wimbledon

Stefanos Tsitsipas is currently in London, where he has been training at the prestigious Queen’s Club to get ready to have a good run in Wimbledon. Stefanos has just reached the final at the French Open, where he lost in 5 sets at the hands of Novak Djokovic.

Currently the world no.4 (career-high), Tsitsipas played his last match on the 13th of June when he lost to world no.1 Novak Djokovic 6-7(6) 2-6 6-3 6-2 6-4 in the final of the French Open (draw).

This season Tsitsipas owns an overall 39-9 record. Tsitsipas clinched 2 titles in 2021 in Monte-Carlo and in Lyon. Stefanos reached the final in Acapulco, in Barcelona and at the French Open.
