Strange stuff in Linz!
Sloane found herself 0-3 in the opening set in absolutely no time winning only 2 points! The frustration was enormous in the American side as the youngster found herself 2-5 down without many answer to give to Andrea’s tennis. Then Sloane found her way to get to the tie break and win it at 1 (!!!).
In the second set there was a continuous exchange of break with the German finally winning 6-4. In the third set Sloane broke Andrea in the 4th game to be broken back in the 5th and to break again in the 6th (4-2 for the American). That was it Sloane won the decider 6-3. Match Stats.

Next vs. Voegele
Sloane play Stefanie Voegele in the quarters. Head to head is 1-1 but Sloane won the recent one 6-3 6-2 a couple of weeks ago in Tokyo.
