Coco Gauff To Play The Olympics

Cori Gauff is having a fantastic 2021. The American sensation has just won the tournament in Parma and she reached some good results at the French Open (quarters) and Rome (semifinal).

After her recent achievements, Coco became the American number 4. This means that Coco Gauff will be part of the American team at the upcoming Olympic Games in Tokyo.

When Coco was asking the to command to about her upcoming participation at the Games, she replied:

“I’m definitely planning on playing the Olympics. I’m excited to play.”

Serena Williams also in the contingent, but…

Gauff joins Sofia Kenin, Serena Williams and Jennifer Brady. There are some doubts about the participation of Serena Williams in Tokyo. The American legend confirmed that she will travel to Japan only if her daughter can join her.

Coco is taking a break this week from the competitions. She will be back on tour next week in Eastbourne before trying to have another good run in Wimbledon.
