Stefanos Tsitsipas lost an extremely tough French Open final against Novak Djokovic. The Greek sensation was leading by 2 sets when the world number 1 staged a spectacular comeback to win the match in 5 sets.
Stefanos Tsitsipas was obviously disappointed by the outcome of the encounter. During the press conference that followed the final, Tsitsipas elaborated about what he learned from this match.
The Greek commented: “What I learned today is that no matter what, in order for the match to be finished, you have to win three sets and not two.
[winning] two sets doesn’t really mean anything. It’s still one away of winning the entire match.”
Stefanos was meant to play his next tournament in Halle. However, he decided to take a week off to regroup also after learning that his grandmother passed away.
His next tournament will be Wimbledon.
