Winning the French Open, allowed Novak Djokovic to strengthen his position at the top of the rankings and keep a healthy gap of almost 2,000 points versus the world number 2 Daniil Medvedev.
Jannik Sinner had a good run in Paris. However, he had to bow against Rafael Nadal for the second consecutive year in the fourth round. Last year, the new Italian sensation was defeated by Nadal in the quarter-finals. Therefore, Jannik lost precious points to drop 4 positions in the rankings and crash out of the top20 (now no.23).

Ranked world no.4 (career-high), Stefanos played his last match on the 13th of June when he was defeated by world no.1 Novak Djokovic 6-7(6) 2-6 6-3 6-2 6-4 in the final of the French Open (draw).

Until now, during this year Jannik has a 24-11 win-loss record. The Italian has won 1 title in Melbourne. The Italian was the finalist in Miami.
