ATP Shanghai draw: Djokovic and Federer on early collision, Rafa has a nasty draw

The 2013 Shanghai Rolex Masters draw is out.

Djokovic vs. Federer

The most notable thing is that Nole and Roger are in the same quarter. Federer’s problem is being ranked no.6 and that was very unfortunate. In fact, with Murray out being no.6 means being seeded no.5 and having the (very bad) scenario of falling either in Rafa’s or Nole’s quarter.

The Swiss Maestro was really unlucky. In fact he is just 5 points behind Berydch (now seeded no.4), Tomas got injured just now against Rafa (so probably he won’t even play in Shanghai) and … Roger fell in Djokovic’s quarter!!!!

Rafa

Nadal is seeded no.2 in Shanghai as at the moment he is still world no.2. Rafa didn’t have a good draw to possibly play Isner in the 2nd match  (and Rafa doesn’t like playing the American) and either Wawrinka or an in-form Raonic in the quarters.

Dimitrov

We are always waiting for Grigor to step in. This time he had a very approachable draw to play Nishikori in the opener, then possibly a tired Dodig and an un-fit Tsonga. If Grigor reaches the quarters he should face either Simon or (a decadent) Ferrer.
