HALLE. Tsitsipas joins Zverev, Federer, Medvedev in the main draw

There is no time to rest right now on the ATP Tour. Stefanos Tsitsipas is about to play the semi-final at the French Open on Friday and he was just announced to join the ATP500 that will be played in Halle in a few days. Thanks to the postponement of 1 week of Roland Garros, players had their schedules squeezed between the clay-court season and the grass courts stint.

It was the organization of the tournament to announce that Tsitsipas has been awarded a wildcard. This tournament in Halle had already a fantastic entry list with the presence of the likes of Roger Federer, Alexander Zverev, and Daniil Medvedev.

Currently the world no.5 (career-high), Tsitsipas has a 38-8 win-loss record in 2021. The Greek is playing at the moment at the French Open where he bested Jeremy Chardy 7-6⁶ 6-3 6-1, Pedro Martinez Portero 6-3 6-4 6-3, John Isner 5-7 6-3 7-6³ 6-1, Pablo Carreno-Busta 6-3 6-2 7-5 and Daniil Medvedev 6-3 7-6³ 7-5.
