CAREER-HIGH. Both Tsitsipas and Sakkari reach a career high with the French Open semifinal

Stefanos Tsitsipas and Maria Sakkari are making their compatriots quite proud after reaching the semi-finals at the Roland Garros. While Stefanos Tsitsipas was expected to go deeper in this tournament, not many forecasted this blossoming of Maria Sakkari. Indeed, Maria displayed fantastic tennis in Paris, and now she is even the top favorite to win the French major.

Following their recent run, Stefanos Tsitsipas and Maria Sakkari reached a new career-high, at least in the live rankings.

Tsitsipas is now no.4 in the live rankings and he will preserve this position if he reaches the French Open final. If Stefanos wins the tournament and Rafael Nadal does not reach the final, he will be the new world number 3 on Monday.
