Raonic blasts 18 aces to win the title in Bangkok

Great stuff for Milos Raonic that beats world no.6 Tomas Berdych in straight sets to win his 5th career title, the second of the season after San Jose.

The young Canadian played a very clean match to never drop a service game and break Berdych the only time asking.

When Milos serves like this it is really difficult for his opponents to beat him. Raonic blasted 18 aces on 11 service games to drop just 2 points on his first serve (!!!).

Eventually Raonic scored 65 points vs. Tomas’ 54 to win the final in 77 minutes.

Milos: he was finding his rhythm better

Raonic was really happy for winning this title, but he wasn’t convinced by his beginning of the match to comment “I think I struggled a lot more than him at the beginning, he was finding his rhythm better.

In the tie-break, it just came down to one return and playing pretty sold after that.I started being more aggressive.”

Now to Tokyo

No time to celebrate as Milos has to fly to Tokyo where, seeded no.3, he is going to face home favourite world no. 123 Go Soeda in the opener.
