ATP Beijing draw. Preview and Prediction

We have a great line up in Beijing where the Big 2 (Nadal and Djokovic) will fight for the title, or at least they are the hot favourite for it!

Nadal world no.1

Beijing should be the place where Rafa can get back to be a very deserving world no.1. Rafa needs to just reach the final to grab the decisive points even if Nole wins the tournament.

Between Rafa and the world no.1 rank there will be Philipp Kohlschreiber (H2H 10-1 for Rafa), Tommy Haas (H2H 5-0 for Rafa) and either Berdych (H2H 15-3 for Rafa) or John Isner (H2H 4-0 for Rafa) in the semifinal.

Djokovic

The defending champion, Novak Djokovic, is still the world and seed no.1 to play Lukas Rosol in the opener (H2H 1-0 for Nole), Fernando Verdasco (H2H is 5-4 for Nole, but Verdasco has won the last 2), Stanilas Wawrinka (H2H is 14-2 for Nole, but last 2 matches were epic 5 setters) and possibly Gasquet in the semifinal (H2H is 8-1 for Nole) before a proably clash against Rafa in the final.

Dimitrov and Tomic?

It’s time for two of the most interesting prospect players to step up.

Dimitrov will play a qualifier and the probably John Isner in the first two matches.

Tomic will play wild-carded and world no. 190 Ze Zhang in the first round to then probably face Richard Gasquet in the second round. Time to produce an upset!
