Stefanos Tsitsipas had a great season on clay so far. The Greek sensation won his maiden ATP1000 in Monte Carlo before reaching the final in Barcelona, where he lost to Rafael Nadal after he was unable to convert to a championship point.
Tsitsipas was also in full command of his quarterfinal against Novak Djokovic in Rome, where he failed to serve out the encounter in the quarterfinal. Nevertheless, that was the confirmation that the Greek can play at the same level against the very best on the dirt.
Stefanos Tsitsipas also shined in Lyon, where he won the title after dropping just one set against an inspired Lorenzo Musetti.

“I think it would be considered my best preparation so far pre-Grand Slam, and now all the attention is on next week. I love playing in Paris. I find it mesmerizing.”

Ranked no.5 (career-high), Tsitsipas played his last match on the 23rd of May when he beat world no.45 Cameron Norrie 6-3 6-3 in the final in Lyon to win his 7th career title.
Until now, during this year Stefanos has achieved a 33-8 win-loss record. The Greek has won 2 titles in 2021 in Monte-Carlo and in Lyon. The Greek was the runner-up in Acapulco and in Barcelona.
