WTA Rankings: Bouchard at career high, Safarova, Jovanosky and Erakovic make giant leaps

We had some good movements in the rankings of some interesting players.

Bouchard

The “would be new Sharapova” reached the semifinals in Quebec City to climb 7 places and be ranked world no.46. (a career high). Genie has already demonstrated to be able to trade rallies with the best of the business to recently lose to Angelique Kerber and Serena Williams in 3 sets.

Jovanovsky

Bojana is just 21 years of age and she is a player that for some reasons didn’t get the limelight. She has already claimed important scalps such as former world no.1 Caroline Wozniacki at the French Open this year and she has all the talent to get in the top positions of the rankings. Last week she has won the title in Tashkent to climb 17 places and be world no.41.

Safarova

Former world no.17, Lucie is trying to climb back in the rankings. Winning the Bell Challenge in Quebec City allowed her to go up 12 places to be ranked world no. 36

Erakovic

Marina had also a wonderful week to reach the final in Quebec City, go up 13 places and be ranked world no. 55.

Govortsova

Former world no. 35 Olga Govortsova  had the biggest jump of the week to go up 29 places after reaching the final in Tashkent.
