Stefanos Tsitsipas won an extremely complicated semi-final against Lorenzo Musetti in Lyon. The world number 5 was in trouble after he lost the opening set. Eventually, after breaking early the upcoming Italian in the second set, Stefanos was broken in the 7th game. When things looked to be complicated for the Greek sensation, Tsitsipas conquered 8 consecutive games to win the match in 3 sets 4-6 6-3 6-0.
After the semi-final, Stefanos confirmed that he was in a way happy to have won a tough match against Musetti to comment:
“It was important I had a match like this. It makes me stay humble and focus on some detailed things I can potentially improve and get better at on clay.”
Stefanos Tsitsipas will face either Cameron Norrie or Karen Khachanov for the title.
