Back home in Prague Berdych and Stepanek reach another historical Davis Cup final. In Canada, Tomas Berdych’s former girlfriend, Lucie Safarova wins her first title in 5 years!
Lucie didn’t have a great 2013 to fall from been ranked no.17 in January to a current 48 rank(See progression.), but this title will definitely help her to regain some ground.
In Quebec City Lucie had an excellent run to lose only 1 set against home favourite Genie Bouchard and to concede only 7 games in the final against Marina Erakovic from New Zealand. Match Stats.
