Ouch!
Rafa wasn’t very sure about his performance in the Davis Cup for a number of reasons such as the time zone (he was back from the States 2 days before), the change of surface and the fact that he was damn tired. The result? A couple of bagels, a score of banana’s shots and bye bye.
From Rafa
Rafa was very pleased by his performance to comment “Today is another victory after a long year and every victory is important,”
Spain 2-0
The Davis Cup day in Madrid was even better as Fernando Verdasco defeated Alexandr Dolgopolov 3-6 6-4 6-4 6-2 to give the 2-0 lead to Spain.
Next doubles?
Maybe the King of Clay will also play the doubles with Marc Lopez to try to win the decisive point for Spain “To play with a good friend like Marc will be a special feeling, first time in the Davis Cup,”
