Djokovic still upbeat: the best has yet to come!

This year wasn’t a good one for Nole…well, that would have been fantastic for many other players, but not for him!

The Serb had an immense 2011 (11 titles and 3 slams), a wonderful 2012 (6 titles and 1 slam) and this year he is still “stuck” with 3 titles (1 slam).

Djokovic  will soon lose the first rank to a very deserving Rafael Nadal (10 titles and 2 slams in 2013), but he still thinks that his future is very bright.

Nole: I am still 26…

During a recent interview after losing to Rafa in the US Open final, Djokovic said “I’m still 26, and I believe the best time for my career is about to come. As long as I believe it, the fire of the love towards the game is inside of me. And as long as that’s present, as long as I feel it, I’m going to play this sport with all my heart, as I did in the last 10 years.”

… and the US Open wasn’t bad

Nole was also happy about his US Open “I was playing well throughout the whole two weeks, and I can be happy because it was different from the hard-court tournaments prior to the US Open. I felt more mentally present and I was going for my shots. I wish I won at least one more grand slam title. All the matches I lost, even the French Open, I had that match.”

The key is to neutralize Rafa. Will he make it?
