For an Italian that has deeply disappointed we have 2 Italians that did a magnificent job in New York. “New prospect hottie” Camila Giorgi upsets former world no.1 Caroline Woznacki to reach the 4th round in New York. This makes her to gain an incredible 57 positions to be now ranked world no. 79.

Former world no.10 Flavia Pennetta had also a wonderful tournament to lose in the semis to Vika Azarenka and gain 52 places to be now ranked world no. 31

Sloane Stephens reaches another milestone to be now ranked world no.13, and she looks damn ready for the top 10!

Hantuchova

Talking about hot players, after reaching the quarters Daniela Hantuchova climbs 18 places to be now world no. 30

Riske and McHale

The America Armada didn’t stopped at the success of Serena Williams and the ranking of Sloane Stephens as other 2 players has been among the big gainers in the rankings.
