Novak Djokovic has a special relationship with Italy and some of its celebrities. The Serbian sensation is currently in Rome, where he will try to win his 6th title. Novak had a funny moment with the Italian showman Fiorello while he was training. Fiorello was caught “coaching” Djokovic helping him to “win” a point. Novak was grateful for that to comment:
“Grande Fiorello. Thank you so much for the tips today. It is always a great pleasure seeing you and spending time with you on and off the court. Next time we are singing together like we did in San Remo festival.”

Novak and Fiorello share a great friendship with the Serbian champion, sometimes showing up to Fiorello’s shows. Once, he even entered the court in Rome with a wig imitation the Italian!
After winning his 18th slam at the Australian Open, Djokovic struggled in the following tournament after reaching only the third round in Monte Carlo and the semi-final in the home event in Belgrade. Later, Djokovic decided not to play the Madrid Open to instead participate in the ATP1000 event in Rome, where he will be among the top favorites.

At the moment ranked no.1, the Serbian played his last match on the 24th of April when he lost to world no.27 Aslan Karatsev 7-5 4-6 6-4 in the semifinal in Belgrade (draw).
This season Novak owns a 12-2 record. The Serbian clinched 1 title at the Australian Open.
