Naomi Osaka crashed out as early as in the 2nd round in Madrid at the hands of Karolina Muchova. The Japanese sensation is definitely not a clay court specialist, and therefore, it is not a surprise that she did not have a deep run in Madrid. The match ended with Naomi losing 6-4 3-6 6-1, but later in the press conference, Osaka revealed that she wasn’t so upset and instead, she was happy for one thing:
“I would say I have a pretty positive outlook on it because for me, my biggest things today, I know I can’t control the outcome of the match, but I can control my attitude and how hard I fought. For me, I thought I did that really well.”
Naomi Osaka has now a lot of time to rest since her next tournament will be only in Rome and that will start from the 10th of May.
