Eugenie Bouchard has been out from the competitions after she played two back-to-back tournaments in Mexico. The Canadian beauty decided not to compete in Charleston and some other important events on the red clay in Europe in the last few weeks. Genie Bouchard has improved her rankings recently. She is now 120, but that is still an issue sometimes to access main draws.
Therefore, if Genie wants to play important events, she needs to play the qualifications to access the main draws unless she gets a wild card.
Genie is on the entry list of the qualifications of the WTA 250 in Belgrade that will be staged on the 16th of May, right before the French Open. The former world number 5 will play the Roland Garros, where she may need to start her run from the qualifications. As a former semifinalist, she may also be granted a wild card for the main draw.
