Federer and Nadal to kick start their US Open on Monday

Time to start the US Open campaign for Roger and Rafa.

The two tennis legends are experiencing a very different moment.

Federer

Roger is definitely not in his prime and he is experiencing a deep decline in both his tennis and the rankings. Now world no.7 Roger is desperate to find his best tennis. The Maestro keeps on having nice comments during his interviews to say that he is confident he will bounce back, but now it’s really time to prove it.

Federer will face world no.621 Grega Zemjla from Slovenia in the first round. Unfortunately we can’t say that this will be an easy encounter for Roger that has lost a few matches with low ranked players in the last months. Head to head is 2-0 for the Swiss.

Nadal

Rafa seems to be in his prime. After coming back from his long hiatus for last year’s injury, rafa has won 8 titles (1 slam and 5 1000 Masters) and he seems to be the strongest play around. The King of Clay will play world no. 97 Ryan Harrison in the opener. Head to head is 1-0 for Rafa.
