Naomi Osaka is training to compete in the European clay-court season. The world number 2 decided not to play in Charleston and Stuttgart to get back to competition only on the occasion of the Madrid Open (26th of April).
Naomi Osaka won all her big titles on hard courts. However, nothing points to the fact that the Japanese sensation cannot win big events also on the dirt. One of the most important features that tennis players needs have to be successful on clay is to adapt his or her footwork to the surface,

Now the world no.2, Osaka played her last match on the 31st of March when she capitulated to world no.19 Maria Sakkari 6-0 6-4 in the quarter in Miami (draw).
At the moment, during this season Naomi has a composed 12-1 match record. Osaka clinched 1 title at the Australian Open.
