Rafael Nadal got another incredible record: he won the same tournament for the 7th time in a row.
Even if Nadal is widely considered the best clay cort player in the history of tennis, today he did not have an easy task. He had to face his fellow countryman David Ferrer that was in top form.
The task was also tricky since Nadal was not in a great day, but that is the moment when you see if somebody is a champion.
The world Nr.1 won the first set 6-4 and than he seemed to go for an easy victory in the second one.
Then Ferrer fought back to get to a 5-4 lead. Then the tension (and some wind) got the stage and both players started to commit unusual errors.
Finally Nadal managed to come over his unforced errors to get the second set 7-5.
