Jannik Sinner and Lorenzo Musetti will make Italy proud, according to Fabio Fognini. Fabio will lose his position as the Italian no.2 after Monte Carlo at the hands of Jannik Sinner that has strong chances to become a top20 from Monday. However, Fognini doesn’t hide the fact that he is extremely happy that some other Italians have great results.
Soon after losing to Casper Ruud in the quarters in Monte Carlo, Fognini commented:
“With Sinner and Musetti, hopefully, we’re covered for the next ten years. Sinner is already at a super-high level, needless to say that soon he will fight to win Siam. Musetti is on the right path. Don’t rush them: these two guys will probably make the history of Italian tennis, let them play.”
