Federer to slip to world no.7 on Monday

That’s not really good for the Maestro, but he was expecting that.

Losing to Rafael Nadal in the quarters meant that the Maestro will sink to an unceremonious wourld no.7 rank.

In fact,  in Cincinnati Roger had to defend the title (alias 1000pts), but being defeated by Rafa in the quarters meant that he will lose 820pts (1000-180), so he will have 4735pts that will sink him far below current world no.6 Tomas Berdych and world no.7 Juan Martin Del Potro. (both in the semis in Cincinnati).

Can Roger make it for London?

Now the important thing for Roger is to get to November at least as the world no.8 (that should not be a problem) in order to play the finals in London.

Tough life for the Maestro. Will he ever bounce back?
