Swiatek, Azarenka, Coco Gauff, Naomi Osaka all out from Stuttgart

Iga Swiatek and Victoria Azarenka have just pulled out from Stuttgart just like Naomi Osaka and Coco Gauff

Iga Swiatek, Victoria Azarenka, Cori Gauff and Naomi Osaka were all meant to play in Stuttgart, but eventually, they decided to skip the prestigious tournament in Germany.

Naomi Osaka decided to start her campaign on clay courts from Madrid, and therefore, she will be back from the 26th of April. Naomi said that she doesn’t want to be too much on the road since she becomes homesick.

Coco Gauff was also on the entry list, but then she got cancelled. The American sensation sustained an injury when playing in Charleston. She also might be back only for the Madrid Open.

Recently. It was time for Iga Swiatek and Victoria Azarenka to pull out from Stuttgart.

Swiatek released the following statement:

“Unfortunately, I won’t play in Stuttgart this year. It wasn’t easy decision but after a lot of discussion we decided that I need more time to prepare properly for the tournaments in Madrid, Rome and Paris. I hope you’ll stay tuned and support me during clay season.”

Azarenka and the vaccine

Vika decided not to play in Stuttgart that because she had to receive her first dose of the vaccine. The Belarusian released the following statement:

“I will unfortunately not be able to compete in Stuttgart at the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix next week as I will be receiving my first dose of the vaccine at that time. I wish the tournament all the best for next week and I do hope to be able to compete again in Stuttgart next year.”

The organization in Stuttgart still has a great lineup with the presence of Ashleigh Barty Simona Halep and Elina Svitolina, to name a few champions.
