Novak Djokovic and Jannik Sinner are going to clash in the second round of the ATP 1000 Monte Carlo if the young Italian beats Albert Ramos Vinolas. In a recent interview in the Principality, Novak Djokovic expressed his admiration for the new generation, and he talked extremely well about Jannik Sinner.
Novak Djokovic stated that he is absolutely impressed by Sinner’s performance in the last year and a half, making him probably the leader of the new generation.
Novak also discussed Jannik’s ability to play equally well on clay and hard courts, making him a complete player. Similarly to what Rafael Nadal stated about the young Italian, the world number 1 is impressed by his maturity on court.
“Sinner has been so consistent, I think last year, year-and-a-half, and he is probably one of the leaders if not the leader of the next generation of the players coming up,” said the Serbian sensation.
“He’s got all the guns in his game that he needs to have to challenge for the greatest titles in sport, and he plays equally well on clay and on hard court and other surfaces. He’s very mature with the way he plays and behaves on the court.”
