The Western & Southern Open in Cincinnati will have a very strong pack with all the top 10 players bar Tsonga playing for the title.

Nole

The world no.1 had a fair draw to possibly play Pico Monaco in the opener (H2H 7-0 for Nole),  then Simon (H2H 6-1 for Nole), Gasquet (H2H 8-1 for Nole that has just trashed him in Montreal) , to play Ferrer, Janowicz or Del Potro in the semifinal.

1st  Bye
2nd Monaco
3rd Simon
¼ Gasquet
½ Ferrer/Janowicz/Ferrer

Rafa and Roger

It must be love, but these two keep on being in the same quarter. If Roger back holds we should have a strong possibility to see them playing in the quarter.

Rafa may play

1st Bye
2nd Qualifier
3rd Dimitrov
¼ Federer
½ Murray

Roger may play
1st Bye
2nd Fish
3rd Haas
¼ Nadal
½ Murray

Murray so unlucky

Andy had another horrible draw. We need to say that he is really really unlucky. Also this time he is meant to play Gulbis early. The Latvian has already beaten the Scott in the Montreal third round this week and he won’t be scared by the Scott. After that Andy may play either Fognini or Benneteau (another couple of nasty players) to possibly play Berdych in the quarters. (H2H 5-4 Berdych)

1st Bye
2nd Gulbis
3rd Fognini/Benneteau
¼  Berdych
½ Nadal/Federer

… and Janowicz?

Jerzy had a good draw to play Blake in the opener, then Klizan, Ferrer (H2H 1-0 for Ferrer) and if he gets through Del Potro in the quarters and Djokovic in the semifinal.

Interesting enough the Pole  has played only Ferrer once (the final in last year’s Bercy tournament). For the other players… well he is still an unknown object. (alias.. no H2H)

Last year’s final when Federer on 6-0 7-6 (7)
