Serena Williams and Radwanska to clash in Toronto semifinal

We have the best possible semifinal in the upper part of the draw in Toronto where the seed no.1 and the seed no.3 are going to clash for a place in the final.

Both players reached the final four without dropping a single set. As usual Serena Williams’ path was unbelievable with the American conceding only 10 games in the entire tournament so far.

Serena – Rybarikova

It took only 1 hour for Serena to win this match against Madgalena Rybarikova (world no. 42). The superiority of the American no.1 was overwhelming as she fired 7 aces in 7 service games and she won 20 points out of 25 on Rybarikova’s second serve. Match Stats

“I’m definitely feeling pretty good, playing much better than I have the past month I would say. I’m glad I’m getting back to the feeling and getting into some rhythm.” Commented Serena after the match.

Radwanska  – Errani

This was a much tougher encounter than the previous quarter. Agnieszka had to battle 2 hours to finally win this match. Both players were struggling a bit too much with their service games. Agnieszka was broken 7 times and Sara 8 times on 12 service games each. The Pole managed to win only 5 points out of 24 on her second serve (Sara 9 out of 20). Match stats.

The semifinal: Serena vs. Radwanska

Head to head is 5-0 for Serena and 4 times out of 5 that was a trash. But Agnieszka is playing a very good tennis and Serena knows it to comment  “It’s a good matchup. She does everything so well. She’s playing better too actually so she’s having a much better year. It’s going to be an interesting match. It’s definitely not going to be easy. I can only hope that I play well and I can only hope that I come out on top.”
