Jannik Sinner is widely considered one of the young players who will plausibly get the mantle from Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, and Roger Federer. At just 19 years of age, the young Italian has just reached the Miami Open Final and he seems to be poised to go for much more in the years to come.
Jannik is coached by Riccardo Piatti that is a very well-known tennis guru. During a recent interview, Riccardo revealed that he is used to showing Jannik the videos of Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, and Roger Federer. However, Riccardo prefers to show the videos where the big3 were playing bad tennis before finding the solution to win. That is the real meaning of winning ugly. This is a key feature for top players to win grand slams. In fact, it takes seven wins to win a major and it is plausible that on a given day even at top player does not compete at his or her very best.
“Jannik Sinner lives for tennis, he has no limits. I showed him a lot of matches of Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Novak Djokovic, but only the ones where they played bad and they still won,” said Piatti.
