Janowicz battles past Dancevic to clash with Nadal in Montreal

Jerzy is not at his best… but he is getting there.

The Pole in definitely not playing his best tennis, but he can be very happy that he has still managed to get to the third round.

Winning matches when you are not at your top is always a great indicator, but with Rafa the world no.18 needs much more.

The match with Frank Dancevic (world no.168) was a 3 hours struggle with Janowicz committing a scores of unforced errors. The Pole had also some problems with his serve. He fired 18 aces, but he had a 54% of first serve in and he committed 11 double faults. With Rafa this would be sure death. Match Stats.

Jerzy will play now Rafa in their first ever match. The Mallorcan is the favourite, but we are sure he won’t trust Jerzy.

Game on!
