Radwanska wins opener in Toronto. Venus crashes out.

A good start for Agnieszka and another disappointment for Venus.

The world no.4 had a very good start by conceding only 5 games to Yanina Wickmayer.

Agnieszka wrapped up the match in 1 hour and 15 minutes and she got full advantage of a very imprecise Wickmayer (9 double faults on 9 service games). The Pole won the match scoring 68 points vs. Yanina’s 43. Match Stats

In the next match Radwanska will play either Sloane Stephens or Mona Barthel.

Unfortunately the tournament lost immediately Venus Williams. The former world no.2 lost her 4th consecutive match in an WTA tournament. That was a pity for the American that had a wonderful start to bagel Kirsten Flipkens in the opener to melt down in the next 2 sets. Match Stats.

Flipkens will play Kiki Bertens inthe next round.
