Jannik Sinner has just reached the semi-finals of the Miami Open, emulating Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic. Nadal reached the final four at the Miami Open when he was only 18-year-old in 2005. On that occasion, Nadal lost to Roger Federer in the final 2-6 6-74 7-65 6-3 6-1
Novak Djokovic did even better when he conquered the tournament when he was 19 back in 2007. That year, he defeated Canas 6-3 6-2 6-4 in the final.
Jannik reached the semifinal after beating Alexander Bublik 7-65 6-4 and he will take on the world no.12 Roberto Bautista-Agut in the semifinal. Their current record is 1-0 for Sinner.

Currently ranked no.31 (career-high), Sinner has achieved an overall 13-4 win-loss record in 2021. The Italian is now competing in Miami where he defeated Hugo Gaston 6-2 6-2, Karen Khachanov 4-6 7-62 6-4, Emil Ruusuvuori 6-3 6-2 and Alexander Bublik 7-65 6-4.
