Sebastian Korda is one of the most promising prospects in American tennis and apparently, that is in the DNA of his family, given also the success in golf of his sisters Nelly and Jessica.

Sebastian is the son of Petr Korda and Regina Rajchrtová. Both parents used to be top tennis players. His father Petr was ranked no.2 in the world back in 1998 after he conquered the Australian Open. Sebastian’s mother, Regina, reached a world no.26 high-rank.

Sebastian’s sisters Nelly and Jessica are extremely successful golf players. Nelly clinched 4 titles on the LPGA Tour and her last win was 1 month ago when she conquered the Gainbridge LPGA at Boca Rio. Jessica has 6 wins on the LPGA Tour and the last one was in January this year.

This Thursday will be extremely busy for the Korda family. Sebastian will face Andrey Rublev in the Miami Open quarterfinal. Nelly and Jessica both have their tee time at the ANA Inspiration.

Currently the world no.87 (career-high), the American achieved a 15-4 record in 2021. The American is participating in Miami where he bested Radu Albot 6-3 6-0, Fabio Fognini 1-6 6-4 6-2, Aslan Karatsev 6-3 6-0 and Diego Sebastian Schwartzman 6-3 4-6 7-5.

Sebastian Korda will compete against the world no.8 Andrey Rublev in the quarter. They have never competed against each other till now in top competitions.

The American has won 1 title in 2021 in the Quimper Challenger. The American got to the final in Delray Beach (Delray Beach Open).

Andrey Rublev will square off with the world no.87 Sebastian Korda in the quarter. In the past, they have never played each other up to now on the main tour.
