VACCINE. Naomi Osaka eager to get a jab. Sabalenka, Svitolina, Rublev not so sure

Naomi Osaka is happy to get the vaccine while some other players have different opinions. This is what Sabalenka, Svitolina, Rublev said.

Naomi Osaka And The Vaccine

Naomi Osaka seems to be one of the few players that are more than happy to get the vaccine (Covid-19), while Aryna Sabalenka, Elina Svitolina and Andrey Rublev sound a bit reluctant.

For the last few months, we have finally entered the phase when the vaccines are deployed all over the world. However, some people are not really confident in taking a jab. There has been an ongoing discussion if the tennis tours should “force” the players to be vaccinated. Some players like Novak Djokovic are not very keen on it. Sabalenka, Svitolina, Rublev seem to join the world no.1.

Naomi Osaka sounded quite willing to get a jab to say: “I’m planning on getting one. Whenever I’m eligible, I guess.”

Aryna Sabalenka commented: “So far, I don’t really trust it. It’s tough to say, but I don’t really want it yet; actually, and I don’t want my family to have it. I don’t know. I will think about this. I mean, if I will have to do it, then, of course, I have to do it, because our life is a travel life and I think we are the ones who actually should make it. But I will see.”

Elina Svitolina said: “Well, I was thinking of doing the vaccine, but a few of my friends (old me to wait a little bit longer to see how it goes because obviously there have been some cases with side effects. Yeah, I don’t know. To be honest, I know that there was a possibility for me to get one in a couple of weeks, but, yeah. I will think about that.

Andrey Rublev is also not very keen on the vaccine to comment: “To be honest me; no. I think few players already did it. I don’t know who. Maybe I’m wrong. I don’t know.

I mean, it depends. I know for the moment now it doesn’t really give you any privilege. You still have to be in the bubble. You still I think have to – I don’t know how is it with the travels, but you still have to be in the bubble. So it doesn’t give you any privilege.
Me, if you ask me if I can choose and I can have the option to don’t have a vaccine, I will not do it.”
