Nadal overwhelms Federer in Miami

Nadal was too good for Federer.
From a phsscological point of view the match was decided after 3 games.
Federer had a really good start with a very solid first game. It seemed as we were about to witness another epic match.
Then Nadal won the next 2 games with an incredible tennis that completely overshadowed Federer’s head start. At that point something switched inside the world nr.3 that all of the sudden lost his confidence and wanted just to finish the rallies as soon as possible.
This was a deadly mix for the Swiss that started to display an increbible series of unforced errors, something that nobody can afford at that level especially if on the other side there is a rock solid player like Rafael Nadal.
Eventually the match finished 6-3 6-2 in 1 hour and 18 minutes for the Spaniard.
Federer committed 38 unforced errors (21 on his forehand)!!!
After the match a disappointed Federer commented ‘I don’t know how many times I need to answer until I just say I’m not going to answer it anymore. I know I can do more things in the game. Sure, it’s disappointing losing a game like tonight, but I’m very excited about what’s to come still. I don’t feel like I’m 35 like you guys make me sound. I’m still only 29, and I have many more years left.’’
