Denis Shapovalov is currently playing the Miami Open where he has the luxury of having his stunning girlfriend Mirjam Bjorklund with him. Mirjam was already in Miami as she was playing the qualifications of the local WTA1000. However, she crashed out in the first round of the qualifications. Eventually, she decided to remain in Miami to support her boyfriend.

Ranked no.313, Mirjam played her last match on the 22nd of March when she capitulated to world no.120 Oceane Dodin 6-2 6-1 in the qualifications in Miami (draw).
At present, during this year the Swede has an overall 2-7 match record.
