DANGER. Tsitsipas to play vs. Dzumhur at the Miami Open with a losing record

Stefanos Tsitsipas will face Damir Dzumhur in his opener in Miami. Even if the Greek player is the favorite there are a couple of reasons to worry about.

Stefanos Tsitsipas was expected to face either Kevin Anderson or Thiago Monteiro in his opening match in Miami, instead he will play the lucky loser Damir Dzumhur. Monteiro had to withdraw with a left arm injury and Damir took his place as a lucky loser and he defeated Kevin Anderson 7-66 7-5 in the first round.

2 reasons why this is dangerous for Tsitsipas

While Stefanos Tsitsipas is expected to win the match in straight sets, it’s worth noticing that Damir possesses a winning record against the Greek sensation (3-1). Therefore, Stefanos needs to be careful as probably the match-up is not that great for him.

In addition, the world no.5 hasn’t played a single match so far in South Florida, while Damir has already been on court competing for 5 hours and 24 minutes so as to be already used to the conditions extremely well. They are expected to play on Sunday.
