Leylah Annie Fernandez motors past Viktorija Golubic 6-1 6-4 in the final in Monterrey on Sunday after playing a fantastic match to win her 1st career title. The match lasted 1 hour and 29 minutes.
Fernandez was delighted about the outcome. She commented:
“The last game basically, especially the last two points, I was very nervous there.
But I just tried to calm myself, just think about the moment, and try to execute the plan as best as I can. I’m happy that the balls went in for me.”
