MIAMI MAIN DRAW. Musetti joins fellow Italians Sinner, Berrettini, Fognini

ENTRY LIST. Lorenzo Musetti managed to get in the main draw in Miami.

Musetti Sinner

Lorenzo Musetti managed to enter the main draw of the Miami Open, joining fellow Italians Jannik Sinner, Matteo Berrettini and Fabio Fognini The world no.120 was meant to play the qualifications of the prestigious ATP1000, which seemed to be a bit unfair after his inspiring run in Acapulco. In Mexico, Lorenzo reached the semifinal playing great tennis and starting from the qualifications.

Why Musetti is in the main draw in Miami

When the entry list was compiled, Lorenzo was no.115 and that was not enough to originally get in the main draw. However, after many defections on the men’s side he managed to access the main daw without the need of playing the qualifications. This is great news for Musetti that has played an enormous amount of tennis in Acapulco and he will have more days to rest and get ready for the next tournament.

If Lorenzo maintains the standard of play he showed in Acapulco, he won’t have problems anymore accessing main draws. The young Italian will be ranked no.94 on Monday and he will go for more.
