The entertaining Italian started his run in Acapulco from the qualifications and it seemed he was extremely unlucky to have to play his first match in the main draw against Diego Schwartzman. Lorenzo is playing at the moment in Acapulco where he overcame Juan Alejandro Hernandez 3-6 6-1 6-0, Agustin Velotti 6-3 7-5, Frederico Ferreira Silva 6-4 6-2, Diego Sebastian Schwartzman 6-3 2-6 6-4, Frances Tiafoe 2-6 6-3 7-61 and Grigor Dimitrov 6-4 7-63.
Lorenzo Musetti will take on Tsitsipas in the semifinal. In the past, they have never played each other till now in top tournaments.
Musetti was the runner-up in the Antalya Challenger and in the Biella 2 Challenger.
